Clearly, I am on a craft store kick since this makes TWO Michael’s reblogs in about a week. This one is looking pretty easy and would make a great party snack. I will be doing this for sure! Look for pictures of my own apple creations in November.

Check out the recipe & instructions here.

Have a spooky weekend,

Traveling Peanut Butter Apples

Traveling Peanut Butter ApplesApples with peanut butter are my favorite snack. I hate toting a plastic container of peanut butter with me on the go though! So I use my apple corer to make me a traveling peanut butter apple when I gotta run. The peanut butter goes right inside the fruit! It’s really easy:

  1. Wash and dry your apple.

  2. Core your apple.

  3. Cut the core at the top and bottom to make two plugs. Discard the center.

  4. Put the bottom core back in.

  5. Fill the center with peanut butter.

  6. Add the top plug.

  7. Wrap the apple in plastic wrap or pop it in a plastic baggie till you are ready to enjoy on the go.

DIY Weed Killer

Today I will share with you my homemade weed killer. This stuff doesn’t work as fast as the chemical sprays you can buy at the store, but its safer for your kids, pets, and environment! Also, its WAY cheaper and you probably have all the ingredients in your pantry right now.

Easy DIY Weed Killer

The salt and vinegar do the killing and the soap just helps the mixture stick to the leaves of the weeds. For my container, I use an old weed killer bottle. It holds the entire recipe and has a sweet battery operated spray nozzle. Be sure and write the contents on your container so that nobody mistakes it for another liquid. It’s not made with any chemicals, but you still shouldn’t leave in reach of pets or children. The smell would likely keep them away, but always better safe than sorry. This will kill all plants so don’t spray with reckless abandon, ok?

If you’d like a printable for this spray – here is a link so you can download a PDF version of my Weed Killer. Check out my Fruit and Veggie Wash, Disinfecting SprayDIY All Purpose Cleaner, and my Antibacterial Spray recipes while you are here.

Lemon Bar Shakeology Recipe

Hey Yall! I’ve started redoing all the Shakeo recipes that I like to hide a serving of veggies inside. It’s delish. I promise.

What’s that? Oh, you don’t love the calories in bananas? No problem. You guys and gals that don’t like naner’s can substitute with banana extract. Here’s the recipe:

DIY Fruit and Vegetable Wash

Today I would like to share my fruit and veggie wash with you all. It is SO easy to make at home and the store-bought stuff is very costly. Why don’t you try this out next time?

Fruit & Veggie Wash

I use this as a rinse for items I pull from my own garden, too. It gets any hitchhiking little buggers off your food – and does away with them. Plus, you need to be sure that no birds (or anything else) got into or onto your edibles. So get to washing!  If your fruit is floating you can use a small plate, as shown below, to hold the fruit under.

If you’d like a printable for this wash – here is a link Fruit & Veggie Wash.
